Vice President, Communications and Engagement

Hi Shannon,

Odgers Berndtson is partnering with Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC) in their search for a Vice President, Communications and Engagement, Aboriginal Affairs and Government Relations. TBRHSC is a state-of-the-art acute care facility serving the healthcare needs of people living in Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario. An architectural showpiece situated on a landscaped site of nearly 70 acres, the Regional Health Sciences Centre is a stunning award-winning design that is functionally efficient. There are 375 acute care beds. The Emergency Department is one of the busiest in the country with approximately 95,000 annual visits.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice-President, Communications and Engagement, Aboriginal Affairs and Government Relations is responsible for the planning, implementation and integration of best practices in internal and corporate communications, issues management, crisis communications, and media relations for TBRHSC. A significant relationship with the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation and Thunder Bay Regional Research Institute is anticipated.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years experience in a senior corporate communications leadership role, preferably in a healthcare facility or within a fast-paced communications, marketing or public affairs environment.

We are reaching out to you in hopes that you may have interest in this exciting opportunity or perhaps there is someone in your network that we should be in touch with. Please let me know if there is a good time for us to connect.
