Request for Proposals

FSIN Website

The Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations (FSIN) is seeking the services of a website design firm to redesign and upgrade the organization’s current website. The FSIN also requires a website communications and marketing strategy that incorporates the use of social media to engage the general public. The FSIN also wants to rename the website and will require a rebranding strategy.

The FSIN wants to have a website hosted on the FSIN web server that is easy to update that allows its various departments to efficiently post information. The website should have the ability to add new sections and pages. The website should have the following features: Event Calendar; Event Registration Database; PayPal payment options; Job/Career section; Social Media integration; Video links to YouTube; the ability to transfer content from the old website to the new website; Content Management System with user accounts and permission system for multiple departments and employees.

About Us
The Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations represents 74 First Nations in Saskatchewan. The Federation is committed to honouring the spirit and intent of the Treaties, as well as the promotion, protection and implementation of the Treaty promises that were made more than a century ago.

Scope of Work
The scope of work shall include:

  • A meeting to clarify the details of the website redesign and upgrade.
  • Redesigning and upgrading the FSIN website
  • Developing a rebranding strategy for the FSIN website
  • Developing a social media strategy

All work must be completed by June 15, 2016.

Provision of Content
The FSIN will provide content that includes logos, pictures and documentation.

The website design firm will provide all services related to the redesign and upgrade of the website. As well as the creation of the fore mentioned strategies.

Working Agreement
The successful website design firm will enter into a contract for services with the FSIN based on the details contained in the request for proposal and the successful website firm’s submission and any other additions that may arise.

The FSIN shall hold the copyright to and total ownership of the FSIN/The Saskatchewan Indian website.

Submission Details
The Website Designer:

  • Will provide an overview of the firm including qualifications, experience and the ability to complete the scope of the work described in this RFP.
  • Will provide references
  • Will provide samples of websites that have been redesigned and upgraded by the firm.
  • Will provide a breakdown of the costs and a total cost to complete the redesign and upgrade of the FSIN website.

Submissions must be received at the FSIN Office by Friday April 22, 2016. Submissions received after this date will not be considered.

The FSIN reserves the right to cancel this Request for Proposal for any reason, without any liability to any agency, or to waive irregularities at its own discretion. The lowest priced proposal may not necessarily be accepted.

Proposals shall be irrevocable until the FSIN awards this contract, cancels this Request for Proposals, or a period of 90 days has elapsed since the deadline for submission.
